Chronology of cameras Butcher
Midg was the name of a series of detective-type cameras. In the 1913/14 catalog, there were five models: Numbers 0 and 00 were the simplest models, while Numbers 1, 2, and 3 were more advanced, notably because of their Lukos shutter, which was fully accessible through a front door.

The No. 00 is made of wood, covered with imitation leather. The shutter is simple; you have to choose between instantaneous speed and T (two-time exposure), then adjust the instantaneous speed between one second and 1/100. The lens, unbranded, of the No. 00 is slightly superior to that of the No. 0. The distance adjustment is done with a pivoting needle. It seems that this adjustment is not continuous but given at specific distances: 4, 8, and 12 feet.
The No. 00 exists only in the 1/4 plate format. Unlike the No. 0, it does not exist in the Postcard format.
